Payne Halloween Rules
1. Costumes - Students and staff are welcome to wear costumes all day. Students will be informed that they will not be allowed to have costumes with blood, gore, weapons, or masks (NO MASKS OF ANY KIND). We have a zero tolerance policy.
2. Parade - We will have a parade on the primary blacktop at 8:30 am.
3. Students Who Don't Celebrate Halloween - If you do not celebrate Halloween, you can arrive after the parade (this will not count as a tardy), sit out in another space, or have an excused absence for the day (religious reasons).
4. Activities - Staff are encouraged to do "Fall" activities. However, we understand that some activities may involve ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, or other Halloween topics. Please do your best to stick to Fall, but in the event that you have a Halloween activity, offer anyone who doesn't celebrate Halloween to do an alternative activity.
5. Time Limit - We will not be having a "Time Limit" for Halloween. (In the past, Halloween had to disappear by recess.) Just have open communication with any families who do not celebrate Halloween about what to expect, so you know how to best support their child.
